The list was made by Vietnam Report based on results of corporate financial assessment, prestigious ranking on media, and user surveys in 2020.

Currently, Viettel owns a digital infrastructure with the widest coverage in Vietnam with 175,000 km of fiber optic cable and 67,000 2G, 3G, and 4G base stations. Viettel currently deploying 5G technology and has five large data centers that meet strict world standards.

Moreover, Viettel is providing technology solutions and services including business to Government (B2G), business to business (B2B), and business to consumer (B2C).

eCabinet solution provided by Viettel for the Government saves at least 30% of meeting time while its City Intelligent Operations Center solution won the “Most Innovative Smart Cities Project” title at the Telecom Asia Awards. Additionally, Viettel provides many solutions for ministries and sectors such as information technology solutions for digital customs, digital traffic, digital education, etc.

Especially, Viettel rapidly deployed many ICT solutions for Covid-19 prevention and control including the National COVID-19 vaccination management platform, Telehealth system, Video conferencing system for the management of Covid-19 prevention and control, Surveillance camera system in isolated areas, Health declaration, and Disease maps (Covid-19 maps), etc.

Thanks to its ability to personalize technology solutions to solve specific problems. Many large Vietnamese corporations have signed cooperation agreements with Viettel on comprehensive digital transformation such as Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, BIDV, VinGroup, FLC, etc.

Viettel also provides many solutions to promote digital transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises. The Group has officially unveiled its Viettel Enterprise Support System (vESS) with three sets of solutions for Executive Management, Human Resource Management, and Accounting - Finance.

Survey results showed that 95% of enterprises using this system witnessed an improvement in operations while 82% achieved the rate of return (ROI) within the expected time.

Viettel has deployed many open platforms such as Viettel AI Open Platform which uses artificial intelligence (AI), exploits voice processing, natural language processing, and computer vision technologies; Viettel Cloud, one of the five cloud platforms in Vietnam that meet network information security requirements for e-Government; Viettel Data Mining Platform for real-time corporate governance reports with the ability to forecast, predict, analyze risks and detect anomalies in business management based on integrated in-depth industry knowledge in business, finance, human resources, and quality management, etc.

Viettel continues to affirm its leading position in network security with nearly 100 customers who are agencies, ministries, state agencies, large corporations, and enterprises. Over 35,000 attacks on Viettel and its customers’ IT systems are prevented annually. In the first six months of 2021 alone, more than 12,000 attacks on corporate and government systems have been prevented.

On the global scale, Viettel has just owned the fastest 5G telecommunications network in Asia with a record speed of 4.7 Gbs in the latest test. Viettel is also the Vietnamese enterprise with the largest number of U.S-protected patents, making an important contribution to the "Make in Vietnam" vision.

Thanks to the completion of digital service platforms for society, Viettel's revenue from digital services increased 27.7 percent, doubling the average growth rate of Vietnam's IT industry (14.7 percent).

The list of Top 10 prestigious information telecommunications technology companies 2021 is based on independent research and evaluation results according to international standards by Vietnam Report JSC (Vietnam Report). Viettel has always ranked first in this annually-announced list since 2018.
