All funds collected from the sale of BIB (more than 26,000 USD) were given to “Heart for you” Fund– a free heart surgery program founded by Viettel Group and Vietnam Television Station. Viettel Fastest 2022 is expected to be held in Ho Chi Minh City in September 2022. The organizers also expect the tournament to be held annually.

As part of a series of events towards the 47th anniversary of the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2022) and the International Labor Day May 1, 2022, Viettel Fastest is a marathon for the length of 10 km divided into 3 categories: Pro (Professional), Semi Pro (Semi-Professional) and (New PR) Newbie runners.

All ticket sales from the race are donated to free heart surgery for poor children, delivering Viettel’s gratitude to the community and society.”

With the message “Speed ​​up with technology” and organized by Viettel Telecom – one of the leading and pioneering enterprises in the construction of a digital society in Vietnam, the Viettel Fastest race applies many technologies such as an online management system with registration code, facial recognition check-in technology, electronic waiver and QR Code to easily receive or entrust Race-kit receipt easily.

In addition to technology applications, athletes can register and transfer the running BIB online, without acceptance of organizers and completely free.

Viettel Fastest is a short distance race with 10km standard track, following the standard of the World Athletics Federation for professional athletes and semi-professional athletes. 

Athletes Le Trung Duc (male) and Doan Thu Hang (female) finished first in the Professional category (Pro) with 33:19.4 and 38:24.6 respectively; Athletes Trinh Dinh An (male) and Nguyen Thi Lua (female) finished first in the Semi-Pro category (achieved 42:01.4 and 45:43,6) and first in the Newbies category (New PR) are athletes Dao Tien Son (male- 1:00:03,4) and Vu Thi Phuong Dung (female-1:05:01,3). In addition to these awards, the Organizing Committee also gives awards by age to athletes and to the best performing clubs.

In addition to the cash prize with a total value of up to over 6,000 USD, each athlete who finished first in each award category was also given 2 Samsung Galaxy Watch4 smart watches sponsored by Viettel Store, 2 Garmin vivoactive 3 Element smart watches, 2 Xiaomi Watch S1 Active smart watches.
