Launched in June 2021, the contest attracted 257 entries from 17 countries in 11 fields. Particularly, 80% of solutions focus on 8 fields with priority given to national digital transformation and realization of the dual goal of economic development and Covid-19 prevention and control.
- The first prize of the third season was awarded to Vintom with a solution to convert digital data to video.
- The second prize was presented to Cyber Purity with an artificial intelligence (AI) application to filter harmful information on the Internet, and DigiAds with a digital content management solution on electronic screens for client personalization.
- Meanwhile, “Dino Di Hoc” (Dino Goes to School), an educational application following Howard Gardner's theory for children aged 3-6, and Emddi with a taxi management solution won the third prize.
The main difference between Viet Solutions 2021 with other contests is that the organizing board will choose potential products to sign contracts immediately after the end of the preliminary round, not only limited to winners. So far, Viettel has selected 16 solutions for cooperation. After four seasons, the total value of cooperation contracts signed with the teams has reached nearly 45 billion VND. Especially, the organizing board chose to cooperate with four solutions for 2-3 consecutive years.
“In our practice, Viettel asserts that supporting technology businesses will facilitate stronger innovation and quicker digital transformation among large corporations. We firmly believe that one solution or idea that gets our support today can make a profound, complete, and unexpected change anywhere in the world, even across the globe” said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group.
Viet Solutions 2022 was also officially kicked off by the Ministry of Information and Communications to continuously promote creativity and create markets to encourage newly-established technology enterprises for the goal of developing 100,000 Vietnamese technology enterprises by 2025, promoting the digital transformation process in Vietnam and contributing to the building of superior technology products and solutions on a large scale and reaching out to the world.
“We call on technology engineers, technology business community, universities, enterprises, business individuals, organizations, localities, ministries, and people to participate in Viet Solutions by posing problems and solving such problems with the lead taken by the Ministry of Information and Communications. I hope Viet Solutions 2022 will foster strong innovation and solve many problems in Vietnam for a breakthrough in national development!” said Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications.
