HA NOI — Construction giant Vinaconex Group has completed the sale of 35 million shares to military-run mobile phone service provider Viettel, according to a report on the acquisition made by Vinaconex to the State Securities Commission.

It is expected that as of March 27th Viettel will officially launch a new service of direct recharge to the prepaid account (VnTopup) in association with some of local banks such as: Vietnam Industrial and Commercial Bank, Agricultural and Rural Bank, Eastern Asia Bank and Vietnam Technology Bank.

Mr. Duong Van Tinh, Vice President of Viettel Corp. said in 2007 Viettel’s total revenue reached over VND 16 trillions (152% of its annual plan), maintaining the double growth rate for last 3 consecutive years.
